What are mala beads?

Often referred to as beads, rudraksha (pronounced “Rud-ruck-sha”) are actually seeds that grow inside of what looks like a blueberry. The beads used in our mala beads vary in size, from 3 mm to 10 mm, with the smaller beads being the rarest. The small beads are often called rudrani.

Mala beads, necklaces and bracelets, are handmade by professional mala makers and incorporate sacred rudraksha and rudrani seeds, often accentuated with beautiful gemstones, gold and silver.  The gemstones of our mala necklaces and bracelets are believed to offer different healing qualities.  We have mala beads  with quartz crystal, rose quartz, amethyst, aquamarine, green aventurine, etc.
